LOAN AND MERCANTILE AGENCY CO.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., has received cabled advice from its London office, intimating that the company will hold its annual meeting in London on December 14. The dividends recommended for the year ended June 30, 1939, will be the same as for last year, namely, 5 per cent, on the cumulative preference stock, and 2 per cent, on the ordinary stock, both these dividends being subject this year to a deduction of 5/6 in the £1 for English income tax at the rate of 7/- in £l, less Dominion income tax relief at 1/6 in the £l. Dividends will be payable on December 28.
