NO POLITICS DURING HOLIDAYS

DECISION OF NATIONAL PARTY (United Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, December 4. “The National Party will cease all political activities over the holiday period,” said the Leader of the Opposition (the Hon. Adam Hamilton) today. It was not desired to have politics before the public at a time when they were more interested in buying presents and enjoying themselves while political discussions might react on the business community. Tomorrow in Wellington Mr Hamilton will meet the representatives of various industries and on Wednesday he will attend a caucus of the party.
