COLLISION ON NEW RIVER BRIDGE
PASSENGER AND DRIVER INJURED A collision between a motor-van driyen by Percy Frederick Johnson, of ,134 Tweed street, and a motor-car driven by Frederick Baty, aged 28 years, of 231 Elies road, occurred at the western end of the New River bridge about midnight on Saturday. It is understood that both vehicles were fairly badly damaged. Baty was admitted to the Dee street hospital suffering from a deep* laceration of the right knee, abrasions to the right arm and lacerations of the right hand. His condition last night was satisfactory. Mona Leonard, aged 19 years, of Roslyn Bush r .a passenger in one of the vehicles, was also admitted to hospital. She was suffering from facial abrasions and injuries to the left hand. Her condition is satisfactory. COLLISION IN GALA STREET James Wilson, aged 19 years, of 198 Mary street, was admitted to the Dee Street Hospital during the week-end suffering from an injury to his leg received when a motor-car collided with his bicycle in Gala street. His condition last night was satisfactory. CAR CRASHES INTO TREE MAN DIES FROM HEAD INJURIES (United Press Association) AUCKLAND, November 18. Fatal injuries were suffered by John Woods, aged about 21, of Mount Eden, a passenger in the back seat of a motorcar which crashed into a tree late last night in Jervois road, Ponsonby. He died almost immediately from head injuries. The driver, Reginald Gulliver, and a companion in the front seat, James Henry Gobbitt-Dawson, both members of the Air Force, escaped injury.
