Painted Bottles For The Bathroom
Jam jars nowadays are made in a variety of charming shapes, some triangular, some oval, some unusually moulded. Sweet bottles are equally delightful. It is a pity to throw them away when they are empty—particularly as, with a little effort, you can make them delightful additions to the bathroom. Suitably painted, they can be used for eye lotion, toilet water, bath salts, and many other purposes. And you do not have to be an expert to do the painting. Simple flowers, leaves, circles, triangles, lines—they will be most effective if you use pretty colours. Some charming bottles are simply painted with blobs of differing sizes and tiny dots, in gold and turquoise blue. The stoppers are painted gold all over.
If your jars have an unsuitable lid or cork you can buy corks of all sizes quite cheaply.
