DEMAND FOR BONDS AND STOCKS ON INVERCARGILL EXCHANGE
A good inquiry prevailed for bonds and stocks, especially the 4 per cent, issue, on the Invercargill Stock Exchange yesterday. Banks were quiet and unchanged. A steady demand came for freezing companies’ shares. Industrials showed no change, but there was an improved market for metal companies scrip. Sales were reported of Southland Frozen Meats at £l/7/1 and Dominion Breweries at £l/13/9.
SYDNEY (Received October 13, 10.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, October 13. The share market, at Sydney today was firm with a healthy undertone.
