PRESIDENTS IN LAST 50 YEARS
In the 50 years of its existence the Invercargill branch of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants has had a long list of presidents, many of' whom are honoured names in the affairs of the branch today. One of the most outstanding of these was Mr M. B. Feil, who was elected to the Locomotive Committee in 1905, and who became president of the branch in 1908. Mr Feil is the oldest member still in the service. The following is a list of those who have held the office of president since the branch was formed 50 years ago:— 1889, G. Bowles; 1890-93, J. W.
