NATIONAL REGISTRATION IN BRITAIN

(British Official Wireless)

(Received October 11, 6.30 p.m.) RUGBY, October 10.

The Registrar-General reports that national registration is proceeding smoothly. The enumerators have nearly completed their work and are returning the schedules containing the necessary particulars at a rapidly increasing rate. From most of the large towns between 70 and 95 per cent, of the schedules have been received by the local national registration office. On their return, details are checked and the schedules sent to the food executive officer for use when food rationing is decided upon.
