GOVERNMENT STOCK SOUGHT ON INVERCARGILL EXCHANGE

Steady support continues to come for Government loans on the Invercargill Stock Exchange, especially the 4 per cent, issues. Banks were quiet yesterday, the inquiry being confined to Commercials at 14/8 and New Zealand D’s at £l/5/6. Insurance companies’ shares remain steady. Overseas mining stocks were very dull.
