SOCIAL ACTIVITY AT COLAC BAY

APPROACHING MARRIAGE FETED

A pleasant evening was spent in the Colac Bay Hall on Monday in honour of the approaching marriage of Miss Edna Read and Mr Harold Pont. The guests enjoyed dancing and vocal items given by Miss Jessie Hodges and the Cleaver brothers.

Among those present were:—Mr and Mrs J. Smith (Round Hill), Mr and Mrs E. Reece, sen. (Round Hill), Mr and Mrs Reece, jun., Mr and Mrs Buckingham (Colac Bay). Mesdames Pont, Kennedy (Pahia), Holland, Pollard (Round Hill), Cringle (Colac), Walker (Edendale). Misses Pont, Wadsworth, Cleaver, Hodges (Invercargill), Patterson, Race (3), (Round Hill), Skeggs (Pahia), Oag (Riverton). Messrs Mason (Round Hill), Wadsworth (2), Cox (Invercargill), Reece (2) (Round Hill), Pont (2), Morgan (Pahia), Bennett (2), (Orepuki), Carroll (Orepuki), Cleaver (2), Burtenshaw, Murray, Patterson, Buckingham (Orepuki), Broomhall, Whittle, Spear, Bamfell.

Music for dancing was supplied by Messrs Bennett (2), and Carroll (Orepuki), and Mrs J. Smith (Round Hill). Mr J. Smith and A. Wadsworth were masters of ceremonies.
