INQUIRY FOR GOVERNMENT LOANS ON INVERCARGILL EXCHANGE

Government loans continued to attract attention on the Invercargill Stock Exchange yesterday, all 4 per cent, issues being sought after. Banks remained quiet, there being little buying activity. Commonwealth Industrials showed no change, while mining stocks were very dull. A sale of 1946 4 per cent, stock at £9B was reported.
