ARBITRATION COURT
SITTING AT DUNEDIN The industrial magistrate (Mr J. A. Gilmour) presided over a sitting of the Arbitration Court at Dunedin yesterday. In the Otago and Southland fish shop assistants’ and the Otago Electric Power Board linesmen’s disputes agreements were made for a short-time award. Awards in terms of the recommendations put forward were made in the following disputes:—Dunedin canister v< rkers; Otago and Southland brick, tile, and pipemakers; Otago and Southland cardboard box workers' (female); Dunedin wax vesta employees. In the case of the Southland electrical workers’ dispute an award was made subject to tbe hearing of an application for exemption by the South’ -nd Hospital Board. r .' ie Otago operative plasterers’ dispute was adjourned until the next meeting of the Court. The Southland and Otago cheese factory managers’ dispute was also held over, there being no appearance of either party.
