BETTER INQUIRY FOR BANKING SHARES ON THE EXCHANGE

Conditions were again quiet on the Invercargill Stock Exchange yesterday. A little better inquiry came for banking shares but the market was dull. Some signs of improvement were noticeable in the metal section. Industrial companies’ shares were unchanged. A sale of Southland Frozen Meats was reported at £l/7/6.
