Baby Born in Bus
A healthy baby was bom in unusua. circumstances on Saturday afternoon. The mother, a Maori woman, had ridden in a bus to Rotorua for medical consultation and was returning home to Rotoiti when the birth took place. A woman passenger, experienced in such matters, took charge and the child was successfully delivered. The mother was made as comfortable as possible and taken safely home. Both appeared quite well.—Press Association.
