WOMEN’S DIVISION

WAIKIWI About 40 members were present at the monthly meeting of the Waikiwi branch of the Women’s Division. Several visitors and three new members were welcomed. It was decided to give a donation to the leper fund.

Mrs McDougall gave the executive report and Mrs Smart delivered an interesting talk on country women’s week. Mrs Chapman gave a talk and demonstration on first aid. The competition, “Something new from something old,” resulted: Mrs Martin 1, Miss A toas 2, Mrs Smart 3. A competition for the best bloom resulted: Mrs Waters 1, Mrs Williams 2, Mrs Martin 3. The competition for October is “A pixie mat.”
