MAIL ROBBERY ON SOUTH EXPRESS

BAG FOUND ON TRACK NEAR OTOKIA

DUNEDIN, September 23.

After inquiries into the theft of £3OO from mail bags on the south express on Thursday, the bag which contained the money was found on the railway track near Otokia. Some portion of the stolen money was in £5 notes, but the bulk of it was in £1 and 10/notes. The police are seeking to make contact with all passengers travelling in the last two carriages.
