WEDDING DANCE AT NIGHTCAPS

MR D. DIXON BIDDEN FAREWELL

On Monday evening Mr and Mrs W. H. Callow invited their friends to a wedding dance in the supper room. The evening was spent in dancing to music supplied by Mr T. Luke, Ohai. Mr G. Nimmo was master of ceremonies. Items were given by Mrs J. B. Grant, Mrs J. B. McLeod and Mr Alan McKenzie.

During the evening Mr R. Nimmo spoke on behalf of those present and thanked Mr and Mrs Callow for their hospitality. He presented Mr Callow with an envelope of money on behalf of those present. Mr Callow expressed thanks for their gift. Opportunity was also taken to bid farewell to Mr D. Dixon. On behalf of his many friends Mr Peter Grant presented him with a travelling rug and an envelope of money, and wished him every success in his new career. Mr Grant also apologized for the absence of the president of the Football Club. Other speakers included Mr R. Nimmo, Mr Brown and Mr Hunt. Mr Dixon replied.
