WOODLANDS RABBIT BOARD

The Woodlands Rabbit Board reports that the first financial period ended March 31, 1939, has been a very successful one. Through the efforts of the four permanent rabbiters employed oy the board and the assistance of three additional men for a short period, a big clearance has been made of rabbits in the board’s area, and it is expected that in the course of a few months trouble from these pests will be reduced to a minimum. A pleasing feature of the board’s operations is that a 100 per cent, collection of rates for the past financial year has been made. This with the assistance of the Government subsidy, has placed the board in a sound position to carry on during the present financial year.
