FAMOUS NOVEL TO BE FILMED
Nunnally Johnson, one of the screen’s most brilliant writers, has been assigned to write the screen play and act as associate producer of 20th Century'Fox’s screen production of “Grapes of Wrath,” John Steinbeck’s best-selling novel. The assignment was announced by Darryl F. Zanuck, who will personally produce the film. “Grapes of Wrath” is scheduled to be one of the most important productions undertaken by the studio. The book, already a best-seller, is hailed by critics as one of the greatest creations of American literature.
