NAVAL RATES OF PAY

COMMISSION RESUMING SITTINGS (United Press Association) AUCKLAND, August 10. The commission, appointed by the Government to investigate the pay and allowances of the ratings attached to the New Zealand Division of the Royal Navy will resume its sittings in Auckland next Monday. This announcement was made after the return of H.M.S. Leander from her islands cruise. Part 'of the inquiry was held in Wellington but the commission has been sitting in Auckland this week. Some members of the Leander’s crew have already submitted written statements but they will be granted an opportunity to give evidence before the commission.
