The Hon. T. O’Byrne, M.L.C., left Invercargill by the express yesterday morning for Wellington. Messrs A. McKenzie and C. S. Stevens were appointed yesterday as representatives of the Southand provincial executive of the Farmers’ Union on the committee of the Southland Boys’ and Girls’ Agricultural Clubs Association.
Mr J. Hensley, managing director of the Southland Silver Beech Co., Ltd., left for Wellington by yesterday’s express.
Advice has been received of more admissions to membership of the New Zealand Institute of Valuers. The new members are: Messrs A. F. Duthie, Lands Department, as fellow (F.N.Z.1.V.); G. T. Martin, Valuation Department (F.N.Z.1.V.); P. H. Nicholson, associate (A.N.Z.1.V.); and N. M. Peryman, State Advances Corporation, intermediate.
Mr Donald K. Leed has been appointed New Zealand resident factory representative of Morris Industries Exports Limited, Oxford, England. Mr Leed, who has already left England for New Zealand, was for some time factory representative in New Zealand for Morris Commercial Cars Limited.
