PRAISE FOR KEW HOSPITAL STAFF
To The Editor Sir, —As one who had a near relation a patient in Kew Hospital at the time of the recent serious outbreak of fire, may I express through the columns of The Southland Times my appreciation of the work of the staff and the helpers in a very trying ordeal. One an'’ all rose to the occasion splendidly and through their efforts the patients suffered a minimum of discomfort. A high regard has always been held for the medical and nursing staffs of the Southland Hospital, and this feeling has been still further heightened by their work of a few mornings ago. There were several patients from Bluff in the hospital at the time, and I can assure you that they and their relations feel deeply appreciative of all that was done for them.—Yours, etc., H. E. DENNY. Bluff, August 3, 1939.
