NOT A BEE BUT A BUZZER
No, it isn’t a bee you hear, but a buzzer made of paper. 1. Cut a four-inch circle of cardboard. Draw petals on surface and trim edges to represent a flowei (A).
2. Glue two identical buttons (B) to centre —one on each side so that holes meet (C). 3. Thread a piece of twine, five feet long, through, holes and tie the open ends together (D). 4. To work, slip fingers through loop ends, holding taut. Whirl away from you; then pull firmly on strings (E). WRITE A NOVEL LETTER Give each player scissors, paste, and sheets of paper. Ask each one to write an interesting and original
letter to a friend by cutting out printed sentences, phrases, or pictures from old magazines. Paste the cut-cut phrases and pictures on the sheets of paper in the form of a letter. Allow the players a halfhour to finish the letters. Then each letter is read aloud, and the players decide which is the best. This is an interesting game for anyone who must be quiet.
