P. H. VICKERY, LIMITED

RECEIVES SERVICE PLAQUE WINS AWARD FOR MOTOR VEHICLE SERVICE FACILITIES In recognition of their achievement in meeting all requirements for developing perfect service facilities, P. H. Vickery, Ltd., has been informed by officials of the Chrysler Corporation at Detroit that they will be among the first motor vehicle distributors in the world to receive the award of a bronze plaque to officially confirm the attainment of perfected Service Department operations. A world-wide plan intended to increase the operating efficiency of distributors’ and dealers’ service departments thereby creating still greater goodwill of their owners was initiated a short time ago by the Chrysler Corporation, and its Dodge distributors everywhere were asked to co-operate by adopting the plan >for their own business operations. Its' purpose was to make available better maintenance facilities and equipment for motorists in order to insure that when their cars or trucks might need service, lubrication, or repairs, complete and adequate facilities therefore might be available to do thoroughly satisfactory work. The plan is based upon the conviction that it is just as important to keep owners satisfied with the performance of their vehicles after they have been bought as it is to sell them cars or trucks. To make the required mark of 100 per cent, under the Plan P. H. Vickery, Ltd., were required to meet ten basic tests and to undergo rigid inspection by the executives of the Chrysler Corporation. Until each of the ten points in the plan—involving equipment, appearance, organisation, and the skill and knowledge of the service mechanics —were met in a satisfactory manner, the award was not made. Despite that, however, P. H. Vickery, Ltd., was able to meet all requirements and to qualify for the award in short order. Within the next few weeks the Chrysler Corporation’s Executive. Manager for New Zealand, accompanied by the Field Service Supervisor will receive the engraved bronze award and, as representatives of the Corporation, will make the presentation to P. H. Vickery, Ltd. P.B.A.
