LAST ANNUAL MEETING

DOMINION HERD-TESTING FEDERATION (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 27. The thirteenth annual meeting of the Council of the Dominion Group HerdTesting Federation held today was largely attended by delegates. This is the last meeting of the federation, which goes out of existence in view of herdtesting being superseded and embodied in the Dairy Board herd-testing improvement plan which has received the approval and support of the Government and the industry. The conference was opened by the Minister of Agriculture (the Hon. W. Lee Martin), who congratulated the pioneers of herd-testing'work and said the Government was sympathetic with the herd improvement plan to the extent of granting £15,000 yearly for two years after which the subsidy would be reviewed. The Minister assured them of his co-operation and help.
