TURKISH AND FRENCH AGREEMENT

TROOPS EVACUATING HATAY PARIS, June 23. A double-barrelled Franco-Turkish Pact will be signed simultaneously at Paris and Ankara today. French troops are already evacuating Hatay.

A previous message stated: “When France signs the Turkish Pact she will declare that she is not relinquishing Syria, except to the Syrians themselves, but she will return Hatay. Turkey agrees to defend the moral and material interests of France in that area and to abstain from all claims and propaganda in Syria.”
