WINTON Miss Cameron, of Invercargill, spent the week-end with Mrs J. Shaw, John Street. Misses Nancy ,and Hilda Schofield, of Bluff, have been the guests of their sister, Mrs R. Swale, Limehills. Mrs N. Kenward, Arthur street, spent a few days in Invercargill last week. Mr and Mrs W. Dixon, of Lillburn, were visitors to Winton at the week-end for the Carroll-Cunningham wedding which took place on Saturday. The prize-winners at the Returned Soldiers’ Association euchre tournament held in the club rooms on Thursday evening were Mrs S. Harvey and Mr W. Bourke. Mr and Mrs Mabin Smith, of Oreti, were visitors to Dunedin last week. Mrs W. M. Shand, Great North road, has returned from a holiday in Dunedin, Mr and Mrs O. A. B. Smith, Great North road, Mrs P. L. de la Perrelle, Park street, Misses M. Anderson, Park street, and M. Tilley, Great North road, were visitors to Invercargill last Week for the combined bank’s ball. Miss Isobel Shand, Great North road, has returned from a holiday at Riverton. Miss McDonald, of Invercargill, spent a few days with her aunt, Mrs W. G. 'Clark, last week. Miss E. Norman, of Forest Hill, has returned from a visit to -Otautau. Mrs C. Baird, Mary street, is visiting Invercargill where she is the guest of Mrs W. C. Cleine. Mesdames C. Jackson, B. Lemin and Small, of Invercargill, were the weekend guests of Mrs M. Boyle, Meldrum street. DACRE Miss Brown, Dunedin, is the guest of Mr and Mrs H. Dennis. Mr and Mrs R. Leonard and their small son Allan motored to Balfour for the week-end.
Mrs J. Fahy and Miss M; Fahy, who have been on holiday at Dunedin and Timaru, have returned home.
