CITY GUARDS CLUB

SERVICE CHAMPIONSHIP The City Guards Defence Rifle Club fired another stage of the service championship at Otatara on Saturday. The hazy light made sighting difficult at times, but some good individual scores were registered at the first 500 yards. V. Mathieson was in fine form and headed the list with a possible, his score card reading 5555555555—50. He was followed by R. J. Brydon and J. Buttolph with 48. At the second 500 yards J. Tansley headed the list with a good 49, his card reading 5555554555 — 49. He was followed bv D. Wishart with 47. These were all good scores with open sights. Following are the scores:— Ist 2nd

Next Saturday another stage will be shot at 300 yards.
