DOMINION AWARD FOR CARPENTERS

(United Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 9. The Carpenters’ and Joiners’ Dominion Award issued today gives a 40hour, five-day week, a minimum wage in all three classes of 2/92 an hour with 1/G a day extra for responsibility, overtime up to four hours at time and a-half and thereafter double time. Allowances are made for country and suburban work. The award comes into force on June 12 for a period of 18 months.
