FIRE AT BLACKBALL COAL MINE

WORKMEN’S BATH HOUSE DESTROYED (United Press Association) GREYMOUTH, June 7. Early this morning fire destroyed the workmen’s bath house at the Blackball coal mine, an 80 by 40ft wooden building. Eight men who were on shift lost their change of clothes and another 50 lost their working clothes. The fire will not affect the working of the mine and the building will be re-erected immediately. Temporary arrangements have been made in the interim. The origin of the fire is unknown.
