Canadian Ingenuity

At Findlater, Saskatchewan, Canada, crows constituted a veritable farming plague. A bright idea was thought of to reduce their numbers by making shooting really attractive. A few were caught alive, numbers were attached to their feet, corresponding to prizes of from £2O to £lOO. The crows were then freed. Everybody took to crowshooting in hopes of a prize. In this way 50,000 were destroyed in a single year.
