EXPORT OF KOALAS TO N.Z. OPPOSED
SYDNEY, June 6. The president of the Koala Club of Australia (Mr O. D. Oberg) said that the club had asked the Minister of Customs to forbid the export of live koalas from Australia to New Zealand for the Centennial Exhibition next year. j “It is our duty to save what few koalas remain in Australia and to ensure continuance of the species rather than to exploit them for exhibition purposes,” said Mr Oberg.
