PROTEST BY RAYON INTERESTS

NEW ZEALAND IMPORT RESTRICTIONS

(Independent Cable Service) (Received June 7, 6.30 p.m.) LONDON, June 6.

Rayon interests are protesting against the threatened reduction of imports of knitted rayon fabrics by New Zealand. The Manufacturers’ Association is in constant communication with the New Zealand Government, claiming that 20,000 , British workers would be affected. The association is making contact with the New Zealand Minister of Finance (the Hon. W. Nash) from whom they hope for satisfactory assurances.
