ARAB GANG ALMOST WIPED OUT

CLASH WITH BRITISH TROOPS JERUSALEM, June 6. An Arab gang believed to be involved in the shootings at Kwakilieh on June 2 was practically wiped out near Tulkarem in an engagement with the second battalion of the Leicestershire Regiment. At least 14 Arabs were killed and scores were wounded. It is believed that the deaths will reach 35. Arab villagers south of Nablus captured a gang of 12 armed Arabs who had terrorized the countryside for a year and handed them over to a British detachment. The next ordinary session of the Permanent Mandates Commission of the League of Nations will open at Geneva on Thursday. The Palestine White Paper will come before the commission at this session and the Secretary for the Colonies (Mr Malcolm MacDonald) will leave London next Tuesday to represent Britain at Geneva.
