ESPIONAGE ON WEST COAST OF U.S.A.

EXTRAORDINARY MEASURES BY GOVERNMENT WASHINGTON, June 1. The Federal Attorney-General (Mr W. B. Murphy revealed that the Government has taken extraordinary measures to guard against espionage on the west coast, particularly at San Francisco. Mr Murphy said that the new measures had been adopted at least partly because of the unprecedented number suspected of sabotage in aeroplane factories. Similar measures would be taken in the east if necessary.
