DOGS AT SYDNEY ROYAL SHOW

NEW ZEALAND EXHIBITOR PRAISES STANDARD (United Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 3. ‘After exhibiting several English setters at the Sydney Royal Show Mr S. Saulbrey, the well-known dog fancier of Ngaruawahia, returned by the Awatea. Accompanying him was a sporting dog “Weeley Hoppy,” which with another of Mr Saulbrey’s dogs, Austelin Vieta,” which remained in Australia, gained the award for best setter brace of all breeds. ,■ An exhibitor in Australia for the past 10 year, Mr Saulbrey said that the dog entries at the Royal Show had reached a very high standard, several imported dogs, which had been purchased at high prices, stimulating competition. The array of spaniels and terriers was exceptional, Australia maintaining her international reputation for fox terriers.
