GRANTS MADE FOR AERO CLUBS

FUNDS FOR PURCHASE OF AIRCRAFT (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 27, Approximately £29,000 in cash was granted to the Aero Club movement during 1938 by the Government, said Mr T. A, Barrow, Air Secretary, when addressing the Royal New Zealand Aero Club. In addition the sum of £15,000 was made available on loan to aero clubs for the purchase of aircraft. This money was lent free of interest and had to be repaid within three years.
