FILM PROJECTORS FOR SCHOOLS

EDUCATION DEPARTMENT ORDERS 500

A statement that the Education Department had ordered 500 film-strip projectors for sale to schools at the price of £lO each, was made at the monthly meeting of the Southland branch of the New Zealand Men Teachers’ Guild last night. Films are to be developed in Wellington at a special rate, and this service, with the help of film libraries, would ensure an adequate supply of films to schools. Mr L. J. Clapp was chairman and there was a good attendance of members. Informative reports of the annual meeting of the New Zealand Men Teachers’ Guild were given by Messrs J. A. Cushen, W. H. D. Gazzard and J. W. Lopdell. The reports dealt with salary and grading, registration of the guild and superannuation. The topics mentioned in the reports were fully discussed.
