FINAL PERFORMANCE

Every seat in Victoria hall was occupied on Saturday night for the final performance by the Invercargill Repertory Society of “The Dover Road, A. A. Milne’s delightful comedy. All the principal characters—Miss Phillipa Hodge, Miss Beth Manson, Mr T. R. Pryde, Mr B. S. Hammonds, Mr J. Marr and Mr J. Bush—showed a complete understanding of their respective parte, the dialogue throughout being brisk and clear. Minor parts were filled by Miss M. Fitzgerald, Mrs J. Speight, Mr J. Oliver and Mr J. Smith. The audience appeared thoroughly to enjoy the amusing situations that arose as a result of the interference of “Mr Latimer” in the affairs 'of eloping couples.
