TWO ONE-ACT PLAYS READ

Two one-act plays were read by members of the Play Reading Circle at the Southland Women’s Club last night. The first, “It’s Autumn Now,” by Philip Johnson had the following cast: Elliston Drury, Mrs Stanley Brown; Edna Drury, Miss M. Manson; Mrs Duxberry, Mrs C. A. Stewart; Mr Pomfrey, Mrs A. F. Parfitt; Mrs Pomfrey, Mrs G. W. Milward; The Lady, Mrs S. W. Jones; chorus, Mrs H. Parker. The second play to be read was “The Magic Suit,” by Maurice Moiseiwitch, with the cast as follows:—Mr Penny, Mrs Stanley Brown; Mrs Penny, Mrs G. W. Milward; waitress, Mrs E. K. Mills; Alec Grindlay, Miss M. Manson; Miss Sinclair, Miss V. B. Roscow; Sidebotham, Mrs C. A. Stewart; Tony, Mrs A. F. Parfitt; Gentleman, Mrs S. Jones; Chorus, Mrs H. Parker.
