MONEY AND MARKETS INQUIRY FOR BANKING SHARES ON INVERCARGILL EXCHANGE
There was a better inquiry for banking shares on the Invercargill Stock Exchange yesterday. New Zealands had buyers at £l/19/9 and the long-term “D” shares were asked for at £l/6/9. There was also inquiry for Bank of New South Wales, Australasias and Unions. There was not the same demand for industrial companies’ shares. The market for metal companies’ shares was a quiet, but steady, one.
