TRUSTED PRISONER WALKS OUT

DUNEDIN, May 14

Thomas John Henry Foote, a trusted prisoner, walked out of the yard at the central police station about 3 o’clock yesterday afternoon. Foote was engaged at the time on cleaning-up duties, and his gaoler left him for a few minutes. When he returned Foote had departed. The man was sentenced to five months’ imprisonment on Friday on various charges of theft.
