PROVINCIAL APPEAL TO BE LAUNCHED (United Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 10. Arrangements are being made by the Mayor (Sir Ernest Davis) in his capacity as president of the Auckland division of the British Empire Cancer Campaign Society for the launching of a provincial appeal to raise £l5OO for the establishment in Auckland of a cancer research department. It is proposed that the appeal, the character of which was approved at a meeting of the division, will take the form of simultaneous street day collections in various local authority districts throughout the province on Empire Day, May 24.
