WOMEN’S INSTITUTE

MEMBERS BIDDEN FAREWELL

The members of the Nightcaps Women’s Institute met in the school room to bid farewell to Mr A. Y. Cook and Miss Spence, who are leaving to take up residence in Gore. The evening was spent in dancing and games. Songs were sung by Mrs McLeod and Miss Patton. Competitions were won by Miss Joyce Excell, Mrs Cuttris and Mrs D. Mcßae. The music was supplied by Mr Kennedy and Miss Excell.

Mrs D. Mcßae (president) presented Mrs Cook and Miss Spence with a crystal vase and a crystal powder bowl. Mrs Mcßae thanked. Mrs Cook for her services to the institute during the past six years as president, also Miss Spence who was an energetic member and the Press correspondent for several years.

Mrs Cook replied thanking the members for the gifts.
