Attempt to Blow Safe
Apparently surprised by the unexpected arrival of the manager, an intruder was unsuccessful in blowing open the safe in the grocery shop of James McLean at Inglewood on Saturday night. Fumes were noticed by the manager, Mr S. Lovell, when he entered the store, but there was no sign of the intruder. The charge had been exploded in the keyhole.—Press Association.
