EXTRA POWERS FOR VICEROY
(Received April 17, 6.30 p.m.) LONDON, April 17. A White Paper contains proposed amendments to the Government of India and the Government of Burma Acts, under which the Viceroy, in the event of India being threatened by war, will assume over-riding authority over the provincial governors and Governments.
