SALES AT WYNDHAM Henderson and Co., Ltd., report on the Wyndham stock sale as follows:— The yarding of 7000 odd sheep was not up to the recent standard, with the exception of a few pens of stores. Bidding was keen for good breeding ewes, the best 2-tooths realizing 29/-. Fullmouths were not in keen demand, five-year-olds reaching 18/-. Dairymen’s sorts sold at up to 14/-, but indifferent lines were hard to quit at from 6/- to 9/-. Store lambs were keenly competed for, the prices of from 14/- to 18/- being an advance of from 1/- to 1/6 on recent values. Store wethers were few in numbers and met good competition at ruling rates. There was only a small yarding of fat lambs, the prices for which ranged from 19/- to 22/-. Fat ewes and wethers showed an advance of from 1/- to 2/- a head. There was only a medium yarding of good quality fat cattle, but because of the absence of buyers these showed a decline of up to 30/- on recent rates. Sales were:—

Cattle.—Fat cows at £B, 2 at £9, £7 5/-, £6 12/6, £5 17/6, £5 12/6, £5 7/6, £5, £4 5/-.

Pigs.—At £1 0/6, 2at 18/6, 2at 17/6, 3 at 15/-.

Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report as follows:—

A full yarding of 6000 to 7000 sheep was brought forward. The entry comprised principally s.m. and f.m. ewes, together with a few pens of lambs. Competition was quite keen for all good lines of s.m. ewes, while best sorts of failing mouth ewes sold fairly well. Forward lambs were keen of sale and brought excellent prices. Taken all round the sale was a good one. Sales. —llB ewes at 11/-, 126 do at 9/11, 54 do at 11/10, 218 at 18/11, 51 at 9/-, 61 at 9/7, 52 at 10/-, 77 at 17/5, 287 at 24/2, 42 at 8/3, 93 at 11/2, 74 at 8/10, 136 at 7/10, 7 at 6/9, 61 do. at 10/6, 42 at 18/-, 61 at 9/9, 42 at 18/-, 61 at 9/9, 190 at 11/-, 60 at 19/-, 92 at 7/-, 49 at 11/-, 49 lambs at 14/6, 188 at 17/11, 6 2-tooth ewes at 24/-, 6 do. at 15/6, 101 do. at 23/6, 14 fat wethers at 23/6, 31 do. at 18/-, 75 fat lambs at 22/3, 1 ewe at 13/-. A fair yarding of all breeds of rams was forward. The best sorts were all required and all gcfod sorts changed hands. A small yarding of cattle was forward, comprising mostlv fat and forward cows and heifers, with a few steers. Fat cattle sold well. Sales.— 1 cow at £5 10/-, 1 at £8 12/6, 4 at £3 5/-, 1 at £6 5/-, 1 at £8 5/-, 1 at £7 2/6, 1 at £6 15/-, 1 at £6 15/-, 1 at £5 2/6, 1 at £6 10/-, 1 bullock at £l2 12/6, 1 at £lO, 1 at £8 10/-, 1 steer at £3 10/-. The National Mortgage and Agency Co. Ltd. report as follows:— A good yarding of sheep, comprising a few lines of f.m. ewes, medium 2-th ewes and a sprinkling of good store lambs was forward, but the bulk of the yarding was of f.f. ewes. No keenness was shown by buyers, but every lot was sold at rates ruling about equal to the previous sale. Sales:—l7 fat wethers at 22/3, 26 at 22/3, 27 at 22/6, 49 2-th ewes at 24/3, 32 at 25/1, 90 at 27/-, 85 at 27/1, 60 f.m. ewes at 18/-,

A fair number of Romney rams was sold from 2 to sgns, and good aged rams at 10/6 to l£gns.
