LORD NUFFIELD’S PLAN REJECTED
SOUTH AFRICAN DECISION (Received April 15, 6.30 p.m.) CAPE TOWN, April 14. The South African Government has rejected a scheme sponsored by Lord Nuffield for the establishment of orthopaedic' institutions on the ground of expense.
Lord Nuffield had offered £lOO,OOO as a nucleus of a big fund, but the Government considers that other health measures are more urgent.
