The silver and copper trumpets found in Tutankhamen’s tomb were sounded yesterday for the first time for 32 centuries. The occasion was a talk on the trumpets found in Tutankhamen’s tomb given at Cairo and relayed by London broadcasting stations.
The fanfare was given by bandsmen of the Eleventh Hussars Regiment.
