CLAY BIRD SHOOT
INVERCARGILL GUN CLUB GOOD PERFORMANCES AT GRASSMERE Some excellent shooting performances were put up at the Invercargill Gun Club’s clay-bird shoot at Grassmere on Saturday afternoon. There was a big attendance. The novice handicap was won by E. Checketts and the open shoots were won by J. Broad and T. Blackler, who tied for first place in one, and G. Bonney. , -r, -r, A quail drive was won by R. Brown on the fifth bird.
Results were: — NOVICE HANDICAP MATCH, - six birds (14 competitors). E. Checketts (11yds) 6 birds 1 R. Burgess (11yds) 5 birds T N. Varcoe (11yds) 5 birds T J. Broad (16yds) 4 birds ? F. Broad (13yds) 4 birds f M. Walker (11yds) 4 birds t t tied for first prize + tied for third prize
