YEARLING SALES AT SYDNEY
BEAU PERE COLT SOLD FOR 1000 GUINEAS
(Received April 14, 11.25 p.m.) SYDNEY, April 14.
At the yearling sales today the trainer, George Price, secured a Beau Pere colt, from Timid, for 1000 guineas. J. Cook paid 925 guineas for a Pantheon-Lis-burn colt. S. Murphy, of Melbourne, also paid 925 guineas for another Pantheon colt out of Cabaret Girl. Seventeen Pantheon colts ranged from 120 to 500 guineas. Nine of them averaged 419 guineas. Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., New Zealand, bought a Marconigram filly, the dam being Hall Mark’s sister, for 180 guineas. Mr Peter Riddle paid 450 guineas for a Marconigram colt, the dam being Lady Canberra. Closing Time, a filly from Chrysology, brought 85 guineas, a Limarch filly from Caraming 65 guineas and a Waikare filly from Caught 130 guineas.'
